At Exterior Outfitters Ltd., we understand that there are hundreds of contractors to choose from in the Calgary area. Founded by Jason Buchanan in 2012, we only use the best materials and products in the industry to ensure the longevity of our installations.
One of our main goals is to help educate our clients so that they can make informed decisions about their roofing and siding needs. Here are some questions to ask when hiring a contractor.

How long has the contractor been in business? Not every company has been around since 1985, but years in business is something to consider. You want to know that they will be around in the future to honour the warranty you were presented with. Every company has a day one, and there are many day one companies that will do great things. The key is to pay special attention to the other information below when making your decision.

Do they have WCB and Liability Insurance? Make sure you see a copy of these. We cannot stress how important this is to protect yourself. Any injury that occurs on your property is ultimately your responsibility if you neglect to ensure the contractor has the proper coverage. The liability here can be unlimited on your as the home or property owner.

References? Every contractor should be able to provide you with references on work that they have completed or from companies that they have subcontracted for. If no legitimate references are available and no good reason for that can be given, you make want to continue interviewing contractors.
